I’m a bilingual journalist from Chicago reporting on organized crime, security and human rights in Latin America. I currently work as a staff writer covering organized crime in Latin America and the Caribbean for InSight Crime.

I have a BA from DePaul University in journalism and Spanish, as well as a minor in Latin American studies. My work has been featured in El BeiSMan, The Yucatan Times and San Miguel Times in México, Agúzate, AlterNet, In These Times magazine, Jacobin, The Crime Report, The North American Congress on Latin America (NACLA), Business Insider, and the Security Assistance Monitor’s blog, a project of the Center for International Policy.
